The OneKey MLS (Multiple Listing Service) is a new broker listing database that includes the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and all five boroughs of New York City.

The MLS service is the most widely used MLS system on Long Island and in the Hudson Valley. However, it is less popular in New York City. The REBNY RLS broker database by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) is more popular in NYC.

The OneKey MLS is a collaboration between the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors and the Long Island Board of Realtors.

The service launched on March 24th, 2020, and has more than 47,000 listings as of this writing. It was founded by the merging of the Hudson Gateway MLS (HGMLS or HGAR) and the MLS Long Island (MLSLI, often known as the Long Island Board of Realtors, or LIBOR). Over 44,000 agents have signed up for OneKey since the merger.

MLS Long Island’s 29,000 members and the Hudson Gateway MLS’s 14,000 members continue to use their original, respective systems for uploading, modifying, and browsing listings. A listing entered into either the HGMLS or the MLSLI, on the other hand, is now viewable to members of both prior systems.

MLSLI and HGMLS use different lockbox systems, SentriLock and Supra, and both will continue to operate until their contracts expire. At that time, they will look into implementing the lockbox system. Supra users are not permitted to distribute one-day codes to HGAR members. However, they are required to distribute them to OneKey subscribers outside of that market.

How Do I List My House in The Onekey MLS?

Hiring a listing agent who is a member of either the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors or the MLS Long Island is the simplest approach to listing your house in the OneKey MLS. Members of both organizations can add listings to the service.

What Counties And Areas are Covered by Onekey MLS?

The Hudson Valley, Long Island, and the five boroughs of New York City are all covered by it. In the Hudson Valley, the MLS covers Putnam, Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Dutchess, Sullivan, and  Ulster. OneKey MLS also covers Long Island’s Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties. It also covers New York City’s boroughs including Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx.

When Did The Hudson Gateway MLS And MLSLong Island Merge?

In June 2017, MLS Long Island and the Hudson Gateway MLS initiated preliminary merger talks. A formal merger agreement was then drafted in September 2018. On March 24, 2020, the official OneKey MLS system went operational.
